Use of personal data collected

By connecting to this website as a user or visitor, a number of personal data may be collected. This includes :

  • cookies for audience analysis purposes (which may be refused) or necessary for your identification on the website;
  • by contacting me via the contact form: your name and email address;
  • by creating an account on the shop or by placing an order: your name, postal address, telephone number, e-mail address, personal account preferences and transactional data related to orders;
  • by leaving a blog comment or product review: your name, email address and IP address.

Cookies

If you leave a comment or an opinion on a product on the website, you will be offered to save your name, e-mail address and website in cookies. This is only for your convenience so that you do not have to enter this information if you make another comment later on. These cookies expire after one year.

If you go to the login page, a temporary cookie will be created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain any personal data and will be deleted automatically when you close your browser.

When you log in, a number of cookies will be set to save your login information and screen preferences. The lifetime of a login cookie is two days, that of a screen option cookie is one year. Contact Form

When you fill in the contact form, your personal data such as name, first name, email address, IP address are collected in order to facilitate contact between us (email exchanges). These data are not kept on the website and are not used for commercial prospecting.

Messages sent via the form can be checked using an automated service for detecting unwanted messages.

Shop

During your visit to the shop, the following data is stored:

  • the artworks you have viewed, for example, to display those you have recently seen;
  • your postal address: this is used to determine the amount of VAT and delivery charges;
  • cookies are set up to track the contents of the basket while you are browsing the website. Please refer to the section concerning cookies.

When you place an order on the website, I will ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, delivery address, email address, telephone number, payment details and possibly account details such as identifier and password. These informations will be used for :

  • sending information about your account and your order;
  • responding to requests, including refunds and complaints;
  • processing payments and preventing fraud;
  • setting up your account for my shop;
  • complying with any legal obligations, such as VAT calculation;
  • improving offers in my shop;
  • sending you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them.

If you create a customer account, your name, postal address, email address and phone number will be used to pre-fill your details for future orders.

Comments

When you leave a comment on the website, not only the data entered in the comment form, but also your IP address and the user agent of your browser are collected and used to detect unwanted comments.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using the service. After validating your comment, your profile image will be publicly visible next to your comment.

Use and transmission of your personal data

The website has no commercial partnership with third party suppliers. When an order is placed in the shop, the user’s bank details are transmitted to the payment service used; the user’s postal details are transmitted to the carrier selected for delivery of the products.

Online payments can be made via PayPal or Stripe. During the processing of your payment, some of your data will be transmitted to the selected service, including information that is mandatory for the execution of the payment, such as the total amount or billing information.

Products are sent via the Colissimo service. Your name, postal address and telephone number are transmitted to it and used only for the delivery of your order.

During an order, if you subscribe to the newsletter or if you do so during the process, your email address and the contents of your basket are transmitted to the MailChimp service and kept on its servers for 30 days. This record is kept to reconstitute the contents of your cart if you change your device or if you need to come back another day.

How long do we store your data for?

Visit statistics are kept for 14 months and order and billing records for 6 years.

If you leave a comment or review on a product, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This allows subsequent comments to be automatically recognized and approved instead of being left in the moderation queue.

For shop customers who create an account on the website, their personal data indicated in their profile are also stored. All users can view, modify or delete their personal information at any time (except for their username). As the website manager, I can also view and modify this information.

The rights you have on your data

If you have a customer account or if you have left comments on the website, you can request to receive a file containing all the personal data I have about you. You can also request the removal of your personal data. This does not include data stored for administrative, legal or security purposes.
