Monotype and collage, a new little house
Explorations on the theme of the house
A house… just to evoke its name is enough to adorn it with all kinds of meanings.
It is first of all a roof for those who do not have one, a refuge to isolate oneself from the world, a place to recharge one’s batteries, to relax, a cozy nest to curl up in, an anchor oneself, a place to live.
But it’s not just humans who are in favor. Birds, in particular (another theme close to my heart), appreciate the small houses in the trees we offer them.
All this combined has inspired these few works (monotype prints, 3D collages, mixed media)… with more to come.
Bits and scraps for three small collages
An old aged book found in a dump, small pieces of paper from my stock of prints when I do not consider them fully accomplished, crochet patterns, from another time, found at the flea market, pastel pencils and metal paint, inspired me these 3 small collages.

Small sparrows in Korean hybrid paint
Halfway between gouache and watercolour, this hybrid paint can be reactivated with water once dry, just like watercolour.
And by reworking certain parts of the drawing, the paint melts, creating interesting effects.

My studio is ready to welcome you every afternoon, from 2pm to 7pm, from Saturday December 9th to Friday December 22nd.
Nocturnes on Thursday December 14 and 21 until 9.30pm.
3 local and regional designers will be exhibiting with me.
